Roadmap

AI & Technology Readiness Audit

Fixed fee, two to three weeks. Your systems, data, vendor spend, and AI opportunities mapped into one board-ready roadmap.

Who this is for

Companies of 10 to 200 people who need the organizational picture before committing to implementation. Should we build or buy? Is our software spend sane? What do we actually do about AI? You want the answer from an operator, not a slide deck.

I've sat on both sides of a vendor decision: the one making the case, and the one signing the check. The roadmap you get is the one I'd want if I were you.

How it works
  1. 01

    Discovery call

Your business, team, and goals. Clarity on fit and a scoped quote before anything starts.

  2. 02

    Week 1: discovery

Systems, data flows, vendor contracts, and team interviews across the organization, front office to accounting and operations.

  3. 03

    Week 2: analysis

AI opportunity mapping, vendor cost rationalization, and risk flagging.

  4. 04

    Week 3: roadmap delivery

A prioritized, board-ready roadmap presented to your leadership team, with a first-90-days plan attached.

What you leave with
  • A full technology and vendor inventory, so nobody is guessing what you pay for, or why.
  • An AI opportunity map with the business case attached to each opportunity.
  • A board-ready roadmap deck, prioritized and ready to present, not a slide dump.
  • A first-90-days plan: the concrete next moves once the roadmap is approved.
Where it fits

Often follows Executive AI Coaching. The audit takes a firm-level shortlist further into a fully mapped organizational roadmap, and it is the natural on-ramp to a Fractional CAIO / CTO engagement. It also stands alone: plenty of companies take the roadmap and run it with their own team.

Questions I get asked
What do you need from us?
Access to the people who own the systems and the spend: usually the owner or CEO, whoever runs finance, and whoever runs operations or IT. Read access to vendor contracts and invoices. About six to eight hours of interviews across the team in week one.
Do you recommend specific vendors?
Yes, when the evidence supports it, and I tell you when it does not. I take no referral fees from any vendor, so the recommendation is the one I would make for my own company.
Will the roadmap tell us to build software?
Only where building is the honest answer. Most roadmaps I deliver are heavier on cutting overlapping spend and using the tools you already own than on new builds.
Can the audit stand alone?
Yes. Many companies take the roadmap and execute it with their own team. If you want help executing, that is what the fractional seat is for, and the audit means we start with a plan instead of a guess.
Do you work with companies outside Utah?
Yes. Discovery interviews work well over video. For Wasatch Front companies I spend part of week one on site.
